VSTF Search Warrant Yields Arrest, Illegal Drugs, and Cash

POSTED ON: March 18, 2024

VSTF officers were on the trail of a suspect involved in selling cocaine and Xanax who they had authored a search warrant for. They spotted him leaving his residence in a Toyota Camry and attempted a traffic stop near Boronda Rd. and N. Main St., but he refused to yield. His slow speed attempt to escape didn’t last long, officers performed a successful PIT maneuver at Santa Rita St. and E. Bolivar St., bringing the pursuit to an end.

A search of his vehicle and residence uncovered $11,506 in cash, approximately 9 grams of cocaine packaged for sale, and 92.8 grams of Alprazolam.

He was taken into custody and booked into Monterey County Jail on drug charges. Bad day for him, productive day for law enforcement.
