Salinas Police Detectives are still asking for the public’s help with any information regarding the disappearance of Arelie Garcia (25) who was reported missing on September 22, 2022.
Ms. Garcia left her residence on the 500 block of Roosevelt St. in Salinas at approximately 6:30 am on the morning of September 22, 2022. Shortly after, she sent her sister a text message telling her she was on her way to work, however, she never arrived at her place of employment. Her family reported her missing later that evening, and her vehicle was located that same evening on Highway 1 in Big Sur. Detectives working in partnership with the Monterey County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Team, have conducted multiple searches in the area where her vehicle was found and in other areas of Big Sur. Area searches have also included the use of aircraft, drones, and K9s.
